An on-the-spot penalty of $220 or a court fine of up to $2,200 applies. This offence does not apply to an underage person who is ordered or requested by his or her parent or guardian to take delivery of the alcohol. However, parents, guardians or other adults must not ask a person under 18 years of age to take delivery of alcohol ordered online or by phone, fax or mail order. An on-the-spot penalty of $330 or a court fine of up to $3,300 applies. When ordering through Direct Wine Cellars you must be 18 years of age or older and confirm this fact when purchasing. Alcohol can and will not be sold or delivered to any person or persons under the age of 18 years of age. Proof of age must be shown to our delivery team upon request. We use this information to identify your orders, provide you with our special offers and to personalise your shopping experience with us; that's all. Cookies sent to your computer from Direct Wine Cellars only last while you're browsing our website. We do not store persistent cookies on your computer. DeliveriesQ: Special Delivery Instructions and weekend Deliveries? A: Direct Wine Cellars endeavours to try and deliver wine at times suitable with the customer. It usually occurs during normal business hours Q: Can we pick up wine ourselves at depots? A: Direct Wine Cellars unfortunately does not have the facilities for collection from their warehouse. Missing Items Q: What happens if the wine is taken from the front door? A: Direct Wine Cellars and the contracted courier company will not be held responsible for any missing goods when delivered without a signature. We suggest a signature given for delivery of all goods, unless directed otherwise by the customer. Payment Options Q: What are your accepted forms of credit cards? A: For all on-line orders, we accept Mastercard and Visa only. Due to the added security, we choose to use Paypal. Shipping costs:To keep the cost of our wine to a minimum, Direct Wine Cellars provides Free Delivery in the Sydney Metro region but freight to greater NSW, other states and territories incurs a fee of $10. This freight fee is per case. There are times when we will offer FREE FREIGHT on selected specials, so keep your eyes out for these! Delivery timeframe:Please allow up to 5 business working days for all deliveries from receipt of order. Delays may occur as a result of stock running low or being sold out in which case you will be contacted to arrange alternative products, or a refund of your purchase. Please note that if there is a problem with the delivery, or damage while in transit, we require 5 business days from the time of re-shipping. Export restrictions:Direct Wine Cellars only sells within Australia, in Australian dollars. Purchases must pay in Australian dollars, and delivery must be made within Australia. Cancellations:A buyer may for any reason cancel their order at any time up to 24 hours only after the order is received by notifying Direct Wine Cellars. Returns:Where wine is to be returned, Direct Wine Cellars will collect the wine from the buyer at a mutually convenient time. Pending collection, the buyer is liable to keep the wine in a safe and proper manner and take reasonable care of it. Wine should be returned in the original box and packed to avoid breakage in transit back to Direct Wine Cellars Refunds:Any price refunds will be effected within 30 days after Direct Wine Cellars was notified of the reason, conditional upon any returned wine being collected in original saleable condition. Breakages:If a case of wine is received with one or more broken bottles,Direct Wine Cellars will issue a credit or send replacement bottles if the buyer notifies us within 7 days of the date of the invoice. RiskRisk of damage, loss or deterioration to product passes to the buyer on delivery. |
